Geoff currently serves as the Project Manager in the Department of Student Life at the University of Limerick. Alongside a team of project managers, he supports the planning, procurement and development of the new Centre for Student Life. The centre has a planned opening date of May 2024.
Prior to the University of Limerick, Geoff served as the former Executive Director for Campus Center and Event Services at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a role he held from 2004-2023. He opened UMass Boston's 331,000 square foot, 80 million dollar complex, the first student center on the campus. Alongside a staff of 40, he was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility, as well as university-wide Conference and Event Services. Geoff has worked in the student life and student union field for 20 years. Prior to UMass Boston, he served as Assistant Director of Student Activities and Leadership, and Assistant Director of Student Center Operations at Northeastern University. Since 1998 Geoff has been heavily involved with the Association of College Unions International (ACUI), holding various regional, association-wide positions. He has served as the Regional Director for ACUI Region VIII (New England), a member of the Board of Trustees, and chair of the 2020 annual conference. Since 2002 he has led and/or participated in 4 international study tours and spent 6 months on an international job exchange in Edinburgh, Scotland. He currently serves as ACUI's International Education Community of Practice Chair and a member of the Education and Research Fund Program Team.
