Bio

Massiel Muñoz, MBA, has over fifteen years of experience in the hospitality industry. Since 2014, Mrs. Muñoz has been working as the Assistant Director of the Student Union at UTRGV. Her past roles include trainer, facilitator, and organizer of events, both in the private and public sectors. In 2018, she instructed an Event Planning Certification course and presented an Event Planners Network session during ACUI’s Region II Conference. As a supervisor she empowers students to take ownership of their professional toolbox and focus on building an arsenal of practical skills and knowledge. She believes learning should be affordable, interactive and engaging. Outside of work, Mrs. Munoz enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
