As we step into this new year, it brings with it an essential update regarding our Communities of Practice (CoP). In 2024, we are emphasizing the significance of community leadership by requiring each Community of Practice to have at least one designated leader to remain active and thriving.
According to the CoP bylaws, the presence of a Community Leader is pivotal for the sustained vitality of our communities. These leaders serve as the primary connection point for community members, bridging the gap between the central office and our valued members. It's worth noting that each community can appoint up to two Community Leaders to ensure comprehensive support and representation.
The role of Community Leaders cannot be overstated. They are instrumental in articulating the needs of their communities, facilitating engagement at conferences, and leading virtual community events. Moreover, they play a crucial role in fostering networking opportunities and cultivating relationships with other CoPs (Communities of Practice).
