  • 1.  Indoor sound guidelines

    Hi all and Happy Friday!
    Does your facility/campus have specific guidelines for indoor sound amplification?  We have guidelines for sound amplification at outdoor (max decibel level of 80 when 50 feet from speakers) but do not have anything for indoor events.  We're going with 'not disturbing other events/offices' but are considering something more specific. Sometimes, it's not a big deal because there are no other nearby events or we are able to schedule rooms far enough apart, but we are getting back to pre-COVID reservation activity and this isn't always possible.

    For reference, our louder groups can be: faith-based groups bringing in their own instruments and sound equipment for worship services (most common) or presenters with loud voices or movie showings.  Some groups are cooperative when asked to turn their sound down and others are not.  

    Would love to hear how others handle indoor noise limits and/or complaints.
