    Hello all!

    We have recently installed a building speaker system for announcements and are working on scripts for Building Managers to make announcements for closing, COVID and etc.  I'm posting to see if other buildings have a similar systems and if you would be willing to share your script templates.

    We have a building speaker system and utilize it for several different announcement types.  Emergency prompts, building close announcements & now COVID reminders.  

    Here is our COVID announcement.  It is read 8 times a day, about every hour or so once the building gets "busier".

    Welcome to the Morris University Center.  Please do your part to keep our campus safe and healthy.  Stay 6ft apart and practice social distancing.  Masks are required at all times in the building except when actively eating. Tables throughout the building have been labeled by occupancy. Please do not add chairs or you may be asked to find another table.  Additional tables are available on the 2nd floor as well as outside on the patio.  Let's work together to protect our SIUE Community.

    We are utilizing our Rockbot music system to play announcements.  

    Lions, We are so glad to have you back on campus remember to social distance and wear a mask.

    Lions, remember to social distance, keep six feet apart.

    These announcements run 30 minutes apart all day long.

    Good afternoon,

    Below are the scripts we use for our building-wide PA system. Our Guest Services/Information Desk Attendant reads them.

    Hourly Announcement:

    "In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, please continue to wear your facemask. Be sure to utilize the hand sanitizer stations located throughout the building and continue to practice social distancing. Thank you."

    Closing announcements: (6:15pm, 6:30pm, 6:45pm, 6:50pm, 6:55pm)

    "Attention all guests, the time is now ______. The building will close in _____ minutes. Please begin making your ways to the exits. Thank you."

    7pm Announcement 

    "Attention all guests, the time is now 7:00pm. The building is closed. Please exit. Thank you."
