COMP Community Chats are an opportunity for our community members to connect, meet other members and process topics that are important to us. They can take many forms – casual dialogue, focused facilitation or activities but the end goal will always be the same: keep our community of practice connected. See below for a description of this month’s topic:
As we navigate and accept new professional opportunities and responsibilities, we often find ourselves in locations far from familiar family and friends. We often tell ourselves this is a great situation to learn and grow but soon recognize the benefits may not outweigh the challenges…particularly when you are alone.
This month’s Community Chat we are holding space to share stories of what professional loneliness looks like and what it feels like. This conversation will be led by one of our Community members who has worked through professional/personal loneliness and will share some of their lived experiences. This discussion will also provide space for others to share similar experiences where we can offer resources, advice, and care.
