    Hello Friends,

I have secured a $50,000 donation for the establishment of an LGBTQ room/center at my institution and will be working with students, faculty, and staff to create the space. I am interested in hearing from your institution about how you created your space (.e.g design, marketing, furniture, etc) and what services are offered to support students.

    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

    Hi Joe:

I'm happy to help and provide suggestions. I had the privilege of working iwth our students, faculty and staff to develop the Pride Center at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in 2011. Feel free to reach out to me via email and we can schedule a time to discuss. My email is sarina.loeb@csun.edu.

    Best wishes,

    Hello Friends,

Circling back to this forum. Thank you to all who emailed me and provided insight into their rooms/centers. We are making progress with opening our new center this fall.

However, I want to ask a few more questions.

    1. We are looking into MityLite Reveal Multi-function Tables. Has anyone used these or similar type tables? We are also looking into the Meshone Folding Chairs.
    2. We are also sourcing comfortable lounge chairs (we already have couches). Any recommendations for comfortable but also adorable chairs?

If you have any pictures of your room/centers, I would love to see them.

    Thanks, everyone,
    Joe
