  • 1.  New terminology for "floor warden"

    Posted 08-29-2023 16:30

Our Union ops team is in the midst of our EOP / BEAP review and as part of it, seeking new office/suite  representatives to serve as "floor wardens."  We have received a number of complaints regarding the term "warden" and while we know the term is standard, even the United Nations and OSHA use the term, as does the National Fire Safety Association , we have been asked to consider a name change.

Does anyone out there use different terminology?

    Thank you!!!!

We just refer to our BEAP team as "Responsible Individuals." Most of them generally are responsible, but a few still make questionable choices. Just not related to building emergencies!
