Student Union Tenant Agreements

Posted by Casey Payseno on Feb 20, 2019 3:00 pm

Hello Colleagues,

I am working with our Student Union Management Team to develop tenant agreements for all of the folks who have assigned space in the building.  We're not thinking of these in the same way as we view leases, but more of an agreement between two University departments on the use of space.  I'm wondering if any other institutions have something similar that I could use as a starting point.

Thank you!

We have several of these and use the same basic Memorandum of Understanding which is an in-house University document so legal doesn't have to review them.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me as I have done a few of these.

Good morning,

I am interested in agreements that are less like leases.  We have many departments in our union, some within the same organizational structure, and we have not charged them rent in the past.

I would like some schedules for routine painting and carpeting of said spaces.  Does anyone have this type of arrangement?  Do the departments pay but coordinate selections through the Unions office?  In the past, we have been given some dollars for upkeep of the building but it is not enough to paint/carpet etc all the suites in the building.  Thank you.  Maria
