Student Groups Selling Food

I am looking for information about student clubs selling food.  Does your university have policies in place?  I am looking for information regarding food items like pizza, donuts, etc. that does not come from campus food services but an outside vendor.  Are proper food handling procedures in place.  Nothing prepackaged like chips, etc.  Any help would be appreciated.

Our university allows registered student organizations to sell food items throughout campus.  All members participating in the sale must have been certified in food handling (training is offered free of charge by the Univ Health and Safety Department).  There are no prohibited items, they can re-sell food from local restaurants or cook on site.  We do restrict them from selling inside most buildings, including the Student Union which has the majority of the University's food service venues.

We are looking for similar information at The College of New Jersey. We do not have any policies related to food distribution at student events. This year we are providing groups with gloves and tongs free of charge.

We were told by the town health department that there are different rules they need to follow if they are selling an item vs a "suggested" donation. We are currently looking into making that switch.
