Hi! My name is Beth Bailey and I'm the Assistant Director/Programs at the K-State Student Union at Kansas State University.  I was thinking of putting together a regional confernce proposal on Agism in HIgher Education.  Anyone been discriminated against because of their age? Would love to hear your stories.  Or if anyone knows of any surveys or good articles, I would love to hear about them, so I can prepare for this possible presentation.

Thanks!

Hello!

I retired from the field in April of 2017 and have been pondering ways to help provide information and support to other professionals that are planning to or are recently retired.  While ACUI does a fantastic job serving new and mid-level professionals, there is a clear need for additional programs and services specifically geared toward seasoned professionals and retirees.

With that in mind, a group of retirees will be offering an ed session at the 2018 annual conference in Anaheim entitled, "What's Next? Planning for and Enjoying Your Retirement."  Panelists will share their retirment stories, provide useful resources, and answer questions to help de-mystify the transition process and support colleagues in next steps in their individual journeys. Look for this session on Friday, March 23 of the conference schedule.

I look forward to seeing members of my ACUI family in Anaheim and continuing this conversation!

Hi Susan - wish I had known about this.  I would have volunteered to help!  It's an important topic.
