What's Next? - Transition of COP Leadership

Posted by Susan Payment on May 25, 2018 4:28 pm

Greetings!

Jerry Mann and I have recently been appointed to serve as co-leaders of the Seasoned Professionals and Retirees Community of Practice.  We are honored to take over the reins from Sally Hammock and Mary Connelly and thank them both for continuing to grow this group and offering opportunities for members to share information and advice with one another.

So, what's next?   How can we help and what would you like to see in the year ahead? Is there a program, service or resource that can be created to benefit this community?  How might members of this COP provide assistance and support to other ACUI volunteers?

Keep the conversation going by replying to this post.  We look forward to your ideas, comments, and observations.

It is likely that many who qualify in the "seasoned" category,  don't realize that they fall in that category with just 20 years in the profession.   What creative ways can the audience be educated so we can grow as a group?

Congrats to Susan and Jerry on your appointment - excellent choice!

Hi, Gail:
Thanks for your response and your point is a good one.  Let us know if you have any specific ideas on how to better engage folks that have this level of experience.  They have so much knowledge and expertise to share!

Susan

Susan and I both look forward to serving our seasoned professionals and all who are interested in the subject.  As she mentioned, we gratefully salute the work done by our predecessors
who gave this group a home at ACUI
