    Hi Colleagues and Friends,
I presented (along with Jackie Alliotta) at Region VII's virtual conference today, and shared some of the programming we have done at our respective institutions. When sharing ideas, many attendees also shared some programs from similar take and make/grab and go stations, and suggested that we start a thread here. So please let us know what sort of things have worked at your campus, particularly as it relates to grab and go stations, whether they are home grown or drop shipped from companies!

Some of what we've done at University of Delaware include:

Custom Photo Puzzles, Custom Coloring Sheets, School Pillows (College Agency)
    DIY Scrabble Coasted (Ship Happens)
Custom Dry Erase Boards and Rally Towels (Lightning Events)
    Succulents and DIY Pots (Amazon)
    Mini Paint Kits (Amazon)
    DIY Puzzles (Michael's)
    Stuff a Plush (Fun Enterprises)

    Hi Cara,

I work at a small private liberal arts college and the take and make/grab and go stations are quite popular. We have completed the below home grown events.

    1. DIY holiday theme kits (e.g. DIY pumpkin painting around halloween).
    2. DIY relaxation kits (infusers, scents, etc)
    3. DIY stress relief kits (coloring books, play dough, ear plugs, sleeping masks, etc)
    4. DIY paint kits (canvas, paint, brushes with the artist painting via Zoom)
    5. Snack packs (providing snacks for students. They are pre-assembled by staff and given out for "Feel Good Fridays")

We will be looking into both home grown and vendor related products in the spring.

Thank you for posting this Cara!

    We have done:
    • Boondoggle Keychains
      • Colorful plastic thread. Everything was purchased from Amazon and it was less than $30 for enough supplies to do probably 200 or more keychains. Very cheap.
    • Paint by Number
      • In house graphic designer made the design and assigned numbers. Had a local print shop print them. Handed them out with paint kits purchased in bulk on Amazon.
    • Glitter Tornadoes
      • Glass canning jars with water, clear glue, and glitter. Purchased everything off of Amazon (or where ever we could find a good deal on jars!). We were able to find glitter glue and small vials of glitter. So we were able to put the supplies inside the jar while handing out.
    • Mini Macrame Planter
      • Found these on oriental trading. They provide rope/string and a VERY small pot for it to hold. They were cheap and came with all the supplies packaged together. But they were very tiny pots.
    • String Art
      • Nails hammered into a block that you wrap string around. Great price from Staples for a bulk amount. However, they were a lot of work to assemble.
    • Wooden Letters
      • Purchased wooden Rs from Michael's and then gave students a paint pack purchased from Amazon so they could decorate their own university letter.

The last one we offered used up the leftover supplies that we have. We marketed it as a "Pick a Project" and students could pick any of the projects that we still had supplies for from earlier in the semester.

At the conference there were some other ideas shared that I quickly wrote down:
    • Tie dye kits
    • Origami
    • Paint kits
    • Embroidery kits
    • Birdhouse decorating
    • Picture frame decorating

Some ideas that I am considering for the spring semester that are not captured above are:
    • No sew fleece blankets
    • Tile art
    • Painting with string
    • Friendship bracelets

Did anyone else have an allergic reaction to the phrase "glitter tornado?"
    Or was that just me?
