Hi all!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to increase the amount of student employees at our facility here at Wake Forest. Our Facility Attendants are now in charge of monitoring each of our fitness areas. They check in patrons, hand out bottles/towels, and observe as members workout to ensure all rules and procedures are being followed. This being said, they are getting VERY bored while they sit and observe. Does anyone have any ideas about how to engage them? What they can be doing as they sit there? Maybe some type of student development? But what can be done that won't distract?
We have tasks to clean equipment, however they tend to complete that rather quickly (and well!). My conflict is they need to be present and observant towards members to ensure rules are enforced.
