Welcome to the new ACUI Community of Practice platform.

We know the value that ACUI members put on the networking and educational opportunities we provide through our conferences, programs, and communities throughout the year. To build on that value, we are excited to launch this new community of practice platform to enhance your online environment for connecting, engaging, and sharing critical industry information and best practices in real time.

This new platform will also help ACUI communicate more dynamically with our members, by responding more quickly to your needs and receiving your input on critical industry issues. This will only strengthen our ability to implement our mission to support campus community building.

Through the communities of practice and other forums, members can gather to continue discussions, and problem solve, and share documents that will help the work of our members advance in their careers and personal lives. The new volunteer workgroups will help our teams and councils advance their strategic priorities. We look forward to your feedback and suggestions on how we can make this a member benefit you can't do without.

    Thank you,

Thanks to John, and welcome everyone to our new and improved ACUI Communities of Practice. There are a few simple steps members can make to quickly take advantage of the new system.

If you have a question on your mind and would like advice or information from your peers, post the question in the most relevant community of practice discussion forum and watch responses start to come in. How do you know which is the most relevant? Each community has a brief description letting you know what it is all about. If none of the communities are relevant (eg. You are looking for a roommate for the annual conference, or you need advice for convincing your supervisor to renew your ACUI membership), you can use the Open Forum.

If you or your campus has a great resource you would like to showcase, upload it into the ACUI Library. It can be uploaded into a community of practice library, or if one of those does not apply, you can post it directly in the Open Forum Library. Even if you don't feel like an expert, you have something to contribute to others. Don't be shy!

If you have questions or suggestions for improving this new member benefit, please use the "Reply to Sender" link, next to this message to reply to me directly (vs. replying to the group).

     Thank you,
