I am looking for anyone that uses EMS for their room scheduling and if they also use it for showing the catering BEOs for those rooms.  We are about to begin implementation of EMS and want to see if there are any tips and tricks

    Hi Kathryn!

This might be a duplicate response! We utilize EMS for our Banquet Event Orders and I'd be happy to schedule a time to discuss tips & tricks or answer any questions you may have! Please feel free to reach out to me directly to schedule a time for a call!

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Our catering department found they did not like the standard BEO in EMS.  We configured one of the set up worksheets (under reports) that they liked.  One thing with reports in EMS is that some are limited in how you display the information such as column width.  We use a mix of query reports and prebuilt reports to tailor what information we send to different departments.

We have been an EMS campus for over five years.  I have relied on EMS at my last two jobs for room scheduling.  However, I am not familiar with catering BEO.  Can you tell me what BEO stands for?  I'm looking to encourage our catering partner- Sodexo to utilize EMS.

    Thanks

All - thanks for the quick responses.  I will try to reach out to you individually about my questions.  BEO is Banquet Event Order - it is what we use for our catering side.

We have been an EMS user for about 15 years and utilize the Service Order component daily.

    Kathryn,
You might consider posting this in the Technology community of practice.  This is a specific group that is geared towards technology.  There have been many posts about room scheduling software and including other services in your work processes.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
